How to Use DARK Smart Builder Gel 05

1. Perform a manicure and prepare the natural nail plate.
2. Gently buff and thoroughly degrease the nail.
3. Apply Dehydrator and Ultrabond according to their respective instructions.
4. Apply a thin rubbing layer of clear DARK Scotch Base and cure for 60 seconds.
5. Apply DARK Smart Builder Gel 05 to strengthen, extend, repair, or model the nail.
6. Cure for 60–90 seconds in a 48 W lamp, depending on the pigmentation of the gel.
7. If necessary, file the nail to refine its shape and architecture.
8. Apply top coat and cure for 90 seconds.

Working Tips for DARK Smart Builder Gel 05

• For pinching the nail architecture, pinch the gel after approximately 12–15 seconds of curing.
• Intermediate curing can be performed starting from approximately 15 seconds.
• The gel is suitable for working with dual forms.
• Avoid applying excessive product close to the cuticle. Create a smooth transition with minimal thickness in this area.
• When strengthening natural nails, file out approximately 1 mm of the natural nail from underneath the free edge to help prevent lifting.
• When using base coats from other brands, removing the sticky layer from the base is recommended.
• The more transparent the gel, the harder the cured material may be.
• If the gel becomes excessively thick due to cold temperatures, warm the required amount separately on a palette. Do not heat the entire container.
• Gels containing glitter should be mixed before use.

Polymerization Recommendations

For optimal polymerization, cure DARK Smart Builder Gel 05 for 60–90 seconds in a 48 W lamp, with the exact curing time depending on the pigmentation and thickness of the applied material. Because the gel can produce a heat sensation during polymerization, curing at reduced lamp power is recommended when necessary. If a strong burning sensation occurs, remove the hand from the lamp temporarily.
